Our Testimonies

How We Have Helped

A single dad with an infant aged child lost his job.

His family situation made finding a job difficult and what little work he could find just didn’t cover the bills.  Thus for a period of a few month’s rent subsidies were provided along with groceries.

We stepped in.

When heart attacks happen to the main breadwinner of a family the income stream dries up quickly and puts everything in jeopardy. Thus we stepped in and for a period of several months, we paid the rent for them.

A single mom with an autistic child.

Had just finalized a messy divorce and needed help getting back on her feet so we helped her to find employment, subsidized some of her rent, and arranged for temporary child care.

We have a heart to help.

At this time Liberty Village does not provide temporary housing, but we do have the heart to help those in need. In 2022 Liberty Village has as of May helped serve 265 meals to the homeless.

We received a late night call for help.

An expecting couple, recently released from a short prison stay, was desperate as the baby was arriving soon.  With no job and only a motel room to call home, they needed help in the worst way. We received a late-night call for help from a church where they had gone seeking help and for six months provided a real home for them to live in while they had the baby.  We helped them to find a job, and provided transportation, utilities, and groceries till they could get back on their feet and begin to live a somewhat normal life in their own home.
